Introduction

It’s an affliction that strikes without warning; one minute you’re enjoying an unpretentious little Burgundy, discussing the finer points of its terroir; the next minute you’re contracting for a small lot of grapes and bidding for an unused section of the garage. The symptoms are not so difficult to spot but it is extremely contagious. We remember when we first caught the wine bug. Shawna threw up for 3 straight days as the bug ran through the entire group. While this book offers no hope of a cure, it does suggest ways to live with the malady.
