2009 Clos Electrique Blanc

You would think that in a warm vintage such as 2009, this wine which emanates from a warm site would have pretty high alcohol levels. But you would be wrong! Deep roots, no irrigation, picking fruit according to ripeness and not sugar levels and the use of indigenous yeasts yielded a Clos Blanc of 13.1% alcohol. That together with the searing acidity of this wine give us yet again an age-worthy offering from Clos Electrique. Production is, however, extremely limited at only 600 bottles so we expect this to be the first of our 2009 Fall release to disappear (hint: – run don’t walk – to your favorite retailer!).
