The 2012 Clos Electrique Rouge  boasts aromas of black cherry, ripe plum, cranberry, lilac, cedar and licorice. Another swirl in the glass releases the ubiquitous complexity of Clos Electrique terroir: forest floor, mushroom and leather, intensified by indigenous yeast fermentation. This yin/yang Pinot Noir shows a cool vintage in the layered aromas, and a warm vintage expressed on the palate of juicy berry and licorice with ripe, round tannins. The firm structure and vibrant acidity assure its long cellar-worthiness, assuming you can wait that long!
