2010 Abbey Ridge Pinot noir

2010 is a vintage with all the attributes of red Burgundy:  high tone aromatics, moderate alcohols and plenty of acidity.  The Abbey Ridge Pinot noir’s nose begins with a stupendous hit of rose petals followed by white pepper, bright red cherries, boysenberries, lavender and Assam tea.  On the palate, the wine is a pastiche of ripe strawberries, tarragon, tobacco and sweet paprika.  How can you not?
